You know you’re in for a treat before you even enter House of Terre a Mer in Melbourne’s CBD, as tall double arched doors in rich dark wood beckon you inside.
The pallet of the salon is refined and sophisticated, with timber playing a hero role throughout. Black leather upholstery compliments matte black fittings and fixtures, and exposed ceiling panels, light fixtures and vents create a modern industrial feel that is juxtaposed by lush greenery and floor to ceiling vertical gardens.
Stunning bespoke mirrors imitate pieces of art, playing with depth, space and light throughout the salon. The organically inspired space incorporates natural features, including a nine metre in-house bar made of solid petrified wood.
“We launched House of Terre a Mer with the dream of creating an exciting and unique work environment for industry professionals. The goal was to create an oasis which would nurture creativity and promote collaboration between our professional partners. Careful consideration went into incorporating funcional natural features throughout the salon, from sustainable bamboo, glass, stone, iron, plants and a nine metre in house bar made of solid petrified wood.” – Vivian Wood
