French colourist Christophe Robin has released his first signature treatment targeted at the needs of men’s hair. As the male grooming market grows from strength to strength and men become more image-conscious, a higher standard of grooming continues to trend and more tailored products are launching into the market.
“Hair is to men what wrinkles are to women, a major source of worry”, says Christophe. “I’ve designed a treatment to get right to the source of the issue and correct the specific problems of men’s hair from the root”.
The cleansing thickening paste for men is a shampoo inspired by Christophe’s Rassoul Clay cleansing volumizing paste, launched in May 2017. The new version for men adds Tahitian algae to the mix, an ingredient that is said to allay the fears associated with thinning hair.
The paste, which comes in a container and feels much like a sea salt scrub to the touch, lathers on contact with water to form an airy foam. The 95 per cent naturally-derived product contains Rassoul clay, which is surfactant-free and absorbs impurities while rebalancing the scalp. The addition of Tahitian algae prevents thinning and stimulates growth. It’s got a lovely woody scent that’s not overpowering.=
A dermatological study of 35 men found that 91 per cent saw their hair thicker from the first use; and the paste gets more effective with regular use – meaning your clients (of any gender) wanting stronger, denser hair with more body and vitality may want to give it a try.
