Alfaparf Milano has reformulated its iconic Semi di Lino range of care products, with an upgraded formulation designed to combat the detrimental effects of pollution on the hair.
Semi di Lino was first launched as a linseed-based hair treatment named Essential Oil by the Italian brand more than 30 years ago and has since grown into a line of professional solutions for all hair types. The original formulations were created to address the most common needs – radiance, colour protection and treatment.
To address modern concerns about pollution and its effects on the hair, Alfaparf Milano has announced a new complex that has been added to the Semi di Lino products designed to mitigate symptoms like yellowing, breakage and dullness.
Named Urban Defense Pro, the complex contains a biotechnical active ingredient that creates an external shield, protecting against pollution and preventing dust and heavy metals from penetrating the hair. In laboratory tests on polluted hair, the new products show increases in hair strength, shine and compatibility.
The updated range is available for retail as four different product lines for normal (Diamond), dry (Moisture), and damaged (Reconstruction) hair; as well as a Sublime range for all hair types. All shampoos in the range are sulfate-free. In addition, a new detoxifying mud is designed to purify the hair and scalp for clients during in-salon services.
