Wella Professionals continues major Mardi Gras partnership
After making a very colourful statement with a fabulous hair-themed float to celebrate 40 years of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras this year, Wella Professionals has announced that it will continue its official hair partnership with the event in 2019.
Matthew Foster, Commercial Director of Coty Professional Beauty ANZ, said that the decision was a signal of the brand’s commitment to supporting equality as well as celebrating diversity within the Wella community.
“We are looking forward to once again celebrating every colour of the rainbow, each as wonderful, individual and diverse as the next!”
The Wella Professionals float at the 2018 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras featured copious amounts of glitter, giant hairdryer and scissor props carried by participants, as well as appearances by drag talent Krystal Kleer.
Terese Casu, SGLMG CEO said, “We’re very excited to welcome back Wella Professionals as a Major Partner of Mardi Gras for 2019. Wella have a rich history of inclusion and self-expression, which is what Mardi Gras is all about.”
